The funeral of German YPG fighter Dilsoz Bahar (Kevin Jochim) will be held on August 22nd in the city of Karlsruhe, says an article from ANF.
Jochim had been in Rojava as part of the YPG since 2012 and was killed in clashes with ISIS on July 6th during operations around Girê Spî (Til Abyad).
Turkey had prevented the Jochim’s body – along with the bodies of 12 other YPG fighters – from crossing from Rojava into Turkey and his body was eventually transferred to Dusseldorf, Germany from Hewler (Erbil).
A statement from NAV-DEM announced the funeral, saying “the waiting which his family and friends have suffered for weeks owing to the inhuman attitude [displayed by the Turkish authorities] needed to end and he Jochim needs to be given a proper funeral.”
The funeral will take place on Saturda, August 22nd at 10:00 local time at Friedhof Grünwinkel/ Durmersheimer Str. 34 a, 76185 Karlsruhe. Those wishing to attend the funeral can use bus lines 60,62, Haltestelle Blohnstr. and Mörscher Str.
