Efrîn YPG Commander: Al-Nusra Attacking With Support Of Turkey

Efrîn Canton Defense Council member Ebdo îbrehîm told reporters that the al-Nusra Front had launched a full scale attack on the canton, adding that the canton’s defense forces were ready to respond to any attack – according to an article in Özgür Gündem.

îbrehîm confirmed that the most recent attacks by the al-Nusra Front were part of a larger plan put in place by the Turkish state. He explained that Turkey was attempting to organize all of the local gangs and radical elements against the project of Democratic Autonomy in Syria.

However îbrehîm emphasized that the canton’s defense forces would not allow al-Nusra or any other gang into the canton and would do everything in their capacity to protect the canton.
