CAMPAIGN: Instant medical treatment and liberation for Zeynep Jalaliyan as well as all political prisoners!

Solidarity with all political prisoners!

Zeynep Jalaliyan was arrested in 2008 in Kermanshah, Iran, and sentenced to death during a few-minute-trial. The death sentence was later modified to life imprisonment. Due to torture, Zeynep Jalaliyan is in a critical medical state. Although she has nearly lost her eyesight, medical care is still refused.

The repression of the Iranian government keeps on rising, especially against women. Lapidations and rape anterior to the execution of women are religiously legitimised and show the misogyny of the Iranian regime.

Zeynep Jalaliyan, who was arrested due to her democratic and feminist commitment, is exemplary for all women, who won‘t bow in spite of inhumane conditions and continue their fight for liberation.

We, the CENÎ Kurdish Women Office for Peace, the Community of Free Women of Eastern Kurdistan (KJAR) and the International Representative of the Kurdish Women‘s Movement (IRKWM) call on all women to participate in our campaign for the liberation of Zeynep Jalaliyan. Send protest-postcards with us to the corresponding institutions and be a part of the actions taking place in front of Iranian embassies and consulates in Europe, in the week from the 20th June – International Support Day for Political Prisoners in Iran – till 26th June, International Day against Torture.
