News from the Revolution in Rojava and Wider Kurdistan
In a recent interview on Ronahi TV broadcast from Rojava, the co-President of the PYD Salih Muslim told the television channel that the bullet that killed his son came from Turkey, according to an article in Özgür Gündem. Muslim’s son Şervan, a member of the YPG, was killed by a sniper during the defense of a village near Girê Spî (Tel Ebyad) in the east of Rojava earlier this month.
Muslim told the channel that he could not be surprised by his son’s death, saying “We are all candidates for death…Now Turkey is ashamed to say that they supported these gangs in the past. Fifty percent of them came through Turkey…Where did the bullet that killed my son come from? If Turkey hadn’t handed over this bullet how could my son have been shot?”
